Value or changes in value are immediately interesting. So for the New
Year, rather than just thinking about what you will be doing, give some
consideration to what you can stop doing and what you can do to make
yourself dispensable.
The wealth of the few who dominate the affluent economies in the West
depends on the poverty of the many in the East who are forced into
working for low wages. Not what happened before, not what might happen
later. How can we create anew in the moment without reference to the
past or the future? Organisations regularly claim that they have all
the new ideas they need. Unfortunately I found it a much more difficult
read which, although it contained some good tips and new and metaphors,
did not deliver on its initial perceived promise. The most rapid route
to a better work life balance, and one that gives others opportunity, is
to delegate more than you think you can.
So once we have focused on what is interesting, what do we do next?
There are two types of value.
People around them see them as very efficient and really good at their

I did start looking around, but I was suddenly offered a fantastic

How lucky they are to be able to produce such great work with seemingly

establish value, and this is where more right-brained thinking comes
